DESTAN GAME
Community and Game Rules
Draft · legal review pending This text describes how the product works today. Its legal review has not been completed yet, so it is not the final version.
Scope
At present only the Destan Game website and web accounts are open. The game, the ANADOLU server and the Support Center are not open yet; the rules that concern them apply once they open.
The rules apply on every channel of the ANADOLU server, in in-game chat, in character and guild names, in support tickets, in live support conversations and in the community spaces officially announced by Destan Game.
These rules apply together with the Terms of Use and the User Agreement. Not knowing the rules does not remove the consequences of breaking them.
Equal service
Players of every nation receive equal service; the rules do not change depending on who you are or where you connect from.
Offering priority communication and local support to Turkish-speaking players is not in-game discrimination against other players: in-game rules, rewards and sanctions are the same for everyone.
Respect
Competition is part of the game; personal attacks are not. Treat other players, the support team and the community with respect.
- Insults, threats, persistent harassment and deliberately targeting a player are prohibited.
- Demeaning remarks based on race, ethnic origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or similar characteristics are not tolerated.
- Sharing someone's personal information (such as their real name, address, phone number or photo) without permission is a serious violation.
- Sexual content, content glorifying violence and illegal content may not be shared.
- Spam, excessive repetition, unsolicited advertising and links to other sites are not allowed.
- Presenting yourself as a GM or as a member of the Service Provider's team is prohibited.
Fair play
Any method that changes the rules of the game by technical means, or that replaces the player's own effort, is prohibited:
- Unauthorized bots, macros, auto-clickers and any other third-party tool that plays the game for you.
- Software that modifies the game client or its memory, injection tools and unauthorized patches.
- Tools that interfere with the network traffic between client and server, or that modify or imitate packets.
- Deliberately repeating a bug to gain an advantage instead of reporting it.
- Duplicating items or in-game currency.
- Gaining an unfair advantage by using the game's systems for purposes other than those intended.
- Trying to get around a sanction on one account by using another account.
If you find a bug, do not use it: report it to the contact e-mail address given in the Privacy Policy.
The official auto-hunt
The game's own auto-hunt feature is an official, authorized feature. Using it as the game provides it is not cheating and is not a reason for a sanction.
Using third-party software to go beyond the limits of this feature, modifying the feature, or running unauthorized tools that imitate its behavior is, however, covered by the prohibitions in the “Fair play” section.
PvP, PK and guild rivalry
ANADOLU is a PvP server. Killing players, guild rivalry and hard PvP within the rules are never, in themselves, a violation.
Behavior that the game's mechanics allow is distinguished from abuse of the system. The following are part of the game:
- Attacking and killing other players in the game's PvP-enabled areas (PK).
- Meeting and fighting the same player or guild again and again.
- Forming alliances against a rival guild, setting ambushes and competing for hunting grounds.
The following, however, are not PvP but violations:
- Combining PvP with insults, threats or harassment that spills over outside the game.
- Gaining the upper hand through cheating, exploiting bugs or unauthorized tools.
- Arranging kills to influence the rankings.
Guild wars, castle sieges and guild powers
- Guild wars and castle sieges are conducted according to the rules of the game and the announced event conditions; any strategy within these rules is allowed.
- Achieving results in wars and sieges through cheating, exploiting bugs, or attacks aimed at the server or at opponents' connections is prohibited.
- Guild storage and rank powers are used according to the guild's own internal arrangements; storage and rank actions carried out by taking over an account without permission or through fraud are violations.
- The management team does not take sides in internal guild disputes unless a rule has been broken.
The game economy and unfair advantage
- Duplicating items or in-game currency; using or distributing them while knowing that they were duplicated.
- Obtaining gains through fake transactions, false payment reports or fraud.
- Damaging the game economy by taking advantage of a bug or vulnerability.
- Using multiple accounts to run unauthorized bots or to abuse the system; opening more than one account is not a violation in itself.
Trade, market and exchange transactions that the game allows are not violations in themselves, whatever their price.
In-game events
The rules, rewards and entry conditions of in-game events are announced in News before the event.
- Event rules are applied in the same way to all participants.
- Obtaining event rewards through cheating, exploiting bugs or arranged results is prohibited; rewards won this way may be removed.
Account sharing and trading
- Your account is yours alone; do not share your password, verification codes or recovery codes with anyone.
- Selling, renting out or swapping accounts, and paying someone else to level your characters, are prohibited.
- The support team will never ask for your password or your codes; anyone who asks for them is not part of the team.
- An account suspected of being compromised may be locked for security reasons until its owner has been verified.
Naming rules
Character and guild names and your account's display name are visible to everyone in the game and in the rankings. Therefore:
- Names containing insults, profanity or hate speech may not be used.
- Names that impersonate real people, organizations or brands may not be used.
- Names that suggest you belong to the Service Provider's team, the support team or any authority may not be used.
- Names containing advertising, links or contact details may not be used.
You may be asked to change a name that breaks these rules, or the name may be changed; repeated violations may lead to further sanctions.
Real-money trading
Buying or selling in-game currency, items, characters, Cash or accounts for real money or any other consideration is prohibited. This includes acting as an intermediary, posting listings and advertising such trades. Cash is bought only on the Cash Packages page.
Such trades are the most common source of fraud and come with no protection at all. If you believe you have been defrauded, report it to the contact e-mail address given in the Privacy Policy, even if the trade itself broke the rules.
Protecting the rankings
The rankings should reflect players' own effort. Behavior aimed at manipulating them is prohibited:
- Inflating PK or death counts through arranged kills.
- Leveling a character or guild by using other players' accounts.
- Using someone else's payment methods without permission to appear in the Baron ranking.
Characters of players whose accounts were suspended for breaking these rules are not shown in the rankings, and ranking values obtained against the rules may be removed.
Dealing with the support team
- Open one support ticket per issue; opening several tickets about the same issue does not speed up the reply.
- Be respectful in support tickets and live support conversations; insulting or threatening the support team breaks these rules.
- Do not send messages that impersonate the support team or the Service Provider.
- Do not share other people's personal information in your attachments unless it is necessary.
Ethical rules for GMs and the management
The following rules are binding on every member of the Service Provider's management team, the game masters (GMs) and the support team. A team member:
- May not grant privileges to their friends or to their own guild.
- May not leak players' hidden location data or any other information not visible in the game to anyone.
- May not ban or otherwise sanction anyone because of a personal dispute.
- May not give unauthorized items, in-game currency or advantages to their own account or to the accounts of people close to them.
- Records every sanction they apply, together with its reason.
- Carries out critical management actions only within their authority; these actions go through an authorization check and are entered in an audit log.
- Knows that players can complain about their conduct; complaints are reviewed, as far as possible, by someone other than the person complained about.
- Is subject to disciplinary review if they abuse their powers.
- May not share personal data from support records with unauthorized persons.
- Follows the principle of equality and consistency in their decisions.
If you believe a team member has acted against these rules, you can complain by writing to the contact e-mail address given in the Privacy Policy; your complaint is recorded.
Reporting a violation
If you see a rule being broken, write to the contact e-mail address given in the Privacy Policy. Reports are used only for the review; the identity of the person reporting is not shared with the player who was reported.
- Give the name of the character involved and the channel where it happened (for example Channel 1).
- Give the date and time of the incident as precisely as you can.
- Attach a screenshot or other evidence if you have one.
- One report per incident is enough.
Sanctions
Sanctions are applied in stages according to the severity, impact and repetition of the violation; for serious violations, intermediate stages may be skipped.
- Warning
- A reminder of the rule, with the expectation that the behavior is corrected.
- Temporary restriction
- Chat, trading or access to the game is limited for a set period.
- Account suspension
- The account's access to the Services is stopped; the account is shown as suspended.
- Removal of gains
- Progress, items and ranking values obtained against the rules are removed.
- Account closure
- The account is closed permanently after serious or repeated violations.
The types of sanctions, how a sanction is notified and how evidence is assessed are explained in detail in the Account Closure, Sanctions and Appeals Policy.
Appeals
If you believe a sanction was applied in error, you can appeal by writing to the contact e-mail address given in the Privacy Policy.
In your appeal, give your username, the date of the sanction and your own explanation. The Service Provider reviews the appeal and tells you the outcome: the sanction is lifted, reduced or upheld.
How appeals are reviewed and the rights you have during an appeal are explained in the Account Closure, Sanctions and Appeals Policy.
