Step-by-step installation

Installing the launcher, step by step. How to sign in to the game will be explained when the launcher is released.

    Create your web account

    Register and confirm your email address with the link we send you. The account you create is your web account for this site.

    Protect your account

    Turn on two-step verification in the Security Center. From then on, signing in asks for a verification code as well as your password.

    Download the installer from this page only. Do not trust copies shared on other sites.

    Verify the file

    Calculate the file's SHA-256 checksum and compare it with the value on this page. If they do not match, do not run the file.

    Run the installer

    Open the file and follow the steps on screen. Choose an empty folder for the game — the launcher only manages files it installed itself.

  6. Step 6

    Download the game files

    When it first starts, the launcher downloads the game files and verifies each one. An interrupted download picks up where it left off.

Security

Verify the file you downloaded

A SHA-256 checksum is a file's fingerprint: change a single byte and the checksum is completely different. You can check it in a minute with tools built into Windows.

  1. Type “PowerShell” in the Start menu and open Windows PowerShell.
  2. Copy the command below, paste it into the window and press Enter.
  3. Compare the value in the “Hash” field with the SHA-256 checksum on this page.

The commands assume the file is in your Downloads folder. If you saved it somewhere else, change the path in the command.

Maintenance

File verification and repair

If the game will not start or an update was interrupted, try the launcher's verify and repair commands before reinstalling.

What it does

  • Compares the SHA-256 checksum of every installed game file with the value in the signed list of game files.
  • Finds missing or damaged files and downloads only those again.
  • Changes only files it installed itself; files it does not recognize in the folder are set aside, never deleted.

When to use it

  • When the game will not start or shows an error on launch
  • When an update was interrupted
  • When your security software has quarantined game files
  • After a disk error or an unexpected shutdown

How to run it

  1. Close the game if it is running.
  2. Run the “Verify files” command in the launcher.
  3. If problems are found, choose “Repair” and wait for it to finish.
  4. When the repair is complete, start the game again.
Verification and repair work when the launcher can reach the signed list of game files. If a repair does not solve the problem, create a support ticket and include the error code the launcher showed.

Troubleshooting

Common problems

Most installation and launcher problems are solved with a few simple checks. Search for your problem, or open a heading to see its solution.

  • InstallationThe “Windows protected your PC” warning appears
    1. First compare the file's SHA-256 checksum with the value on this page.
    2. If the values match, you can use “More info” in the warning and then “Run anyway”.
    3. If they differ, do not run the file; delete it and download it again from this page only.
  • InstallationSecurity software blocks the installation or deletes files
    1. Verify the installer's SHA-256 checksum.
    2. Add an exception for the game folder in your security software.
    3. If files were quarantined, run “Verify files” and then “Repair” in the launcher.
  • InstallationThe installer does not accept the folder I chose
    1. The launcher installs only into an empty folder or into a DESTAN ONLINE folder it installed itself; a folder that holds other files is refused for safety.
    2. Create a new, empty folder and choose it.
    3. Pick a place in your own user folder or on another drive rather than a system folder you cannot write to.
  • Downloads and updatesNot enough disk space
    1. Check the free space on the drive you are installing to; the space needed is listed in the system requirements table.
    2. Delete files you no longer need, or install the game on a drive with more free space.
    3. Then restart the download in the launcher; finished files are not downloaded again.
  • Downloads and updatesThe download is very slow or keeps stopping
    1. Check your internet connection; use a wired connection if you can.
    2. Close other programs that run large downloads in the background.
    3. The launcher resumes an interrupted download where it left off; pausing and resuming it is often enough.
  • Downloads and updatesAn update stopped halfway or failed
    1. Close and reopen the launcher; the update continues where it stopped.
    2. If the problem persists, run “Verify files” and then “Repair”.
    3. Check the Server Status page for scheduled maintenance.
  • LaunchThe launcher does not open or closes straight away
    1. Restart your computer and install pending Windows updates.
    2. Check whether your security software is blocking the launcher.
    3. If the problem persists, download and install the launcher again from this page; your game files are verified, not downloaded again.
  • LaunchThe Play button is not available
    1. The Play button becomes available after you sign in and choose the ANADOLU server and a channel.
    2. If game files are still downloading or being verified, wait for that to finish.
    3. The game launch service is not connected yet, so the button is currently disabled for everyone.
  • Account and connectionThe launcher cannot connect to the server
    1. Check your internet connection.
    2. Check the Server Status page to see whether ANADOLU is under maintenance.
    3. Make sure your firewall allows the launcher to access the internet.
  • InstallationThe SHA-256 value does not match the one on this page
    1. Do not run the file; delete it.
    2. Download the launcher again from the link on this page only and calculate the checksum again.
    3. If the value still differs, create a support ticket and include the value you calculated.
